Message From InTouch Foundation chairperson Id like to say a big thank you and appreciation to all those who participated in yesterdays event. Also our website will be updated in the coming weeks with our Public Pledge. This will outline our commitment to donors and supporters and the need for transparency. The pledge will outline what projects we have and how money is spent. Our accounts will be submitted to the Charity Commission in line with their procedures and these will be available for people to view. Suffice it to say that Intouch Board members and volunteers do not get paid. The work is entirely voluntary. We have only one employee (minibus driver) as an interim measure. Initially we were reliant on volunteer minibus drivers, however due to timings and availability this proved difficult to sustain. Our main point of distribution is our van that helps us to make food distribution safe and secure for both volunteers and members of the public. The pledge will also provide a breakdown of all areas of expenditure. Thereby making us fully transparent. At present the main volunteers on average spend 15-20 hrs per week on top of their own personal and work commitments. We welcome feedback and comments and the appropriate channel to do this is to write to us at InTouch Foundation, c/o 2 Clifton Villas, Bradford, BD8 7BY. Thank you all and Salam
