MetCom is recruiting to fill up to three (3) part-time Dispatcher positions. Part-time Dispatchers are required to work a minimum of 18 hours per month (maximum of 32 hours per week). This is a great opportunity to work in a premier 9-1-1 Regional Communications Center with State-of-the-Art equipment and excellent training programs. MetCom is an ACE Accredited, secondary Public Safety answering Point for Fire and Emergency Services. MetCom dispatches for The South Metro Fire Rescue Authority (the combined South Metro Fire Rescue and Parker Fire Departments), the West Douglas County Fire Protection District, and 2 additional departments starting in December. This includes an area of nearly 600 square miles in Arapahoe and Douglas Counties. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED, Must have a minimum of two (2) years of recent Public Safety Dispatch experience (EMD/EFD Certifications are a plus). Candidates with recent fire suppression/emergency medical experience may be considered based on their knowledge of fire operations and apparatus.
