Ministering Divine Healing should not be viewed as an extra in a believers life. Jesus body was mangled and torn on that whipping post to the degree that in 1 Peter 2:24 it says by His STRIPE we were healed (STRIPE = singular - molopi as opposed to the plural which would have been molopsi in the Greek) Its singular because the damaged flesh on Jesus body was so extensive that if there had been 1/4 inch of unmangled flesh the Greek work molopsi would have been used representing the plural. If by His extreme suffering and ripping of His flesh we were healed (past tense, indicating healing is already paid for at this stage through what Christ suffered in the past), then is not Christ worthy to give Him the reward of His suffering, that He may receive glory and credit for it? If by His stripes we were healed, we can see the importance in freely giving to people the outcome of what Jesus suffered to give them (healing, which is referred to as a sign which points people to the reality of God and His Kingdom (Mk. 16:17)). Let not Christs suffering on that whipping post be in vain, dear believers. (His body, broken for us (represented by the communion bread)). Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers as Jesus commands us to do (Mt. 10:7-8 (Mt. 28:20); Mk 16:17; etc.). Let us give Jesus the reward of His suffering, resulting in people healed and set free! (Acts 10:38) Jesus supplied TOTAL SALVATION (body, soul, and spirit), not a partial salvation. The prayer of faith WILL (not maybe) SAVE the sick, and the Lord WILL raise Him up. (James 5:15) SAVE = sozo (delivered from oppression / to make whole). Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be SAVED (Acts 16:31) Again, SOZO is used. Spiritual salvation and physical healing -- both bought and paid for by Christ -- both available through faith in Him. (Mt. 9:5-6) We can see in Mt. 8:16-17 (quoting from Isa. 53) that Jesus supplied healing for ALL, and for the total person: spirit, soul, and body. Lets give Jesus the reward of His suffering! Believers, start believing in ALL of what Christ suffered and bled to make available! TOTAL redemption; TOTAL salvation. Lets manifest Christ in FULL, NOT PARTIALLY due to unbelief and/or ignorance of His Word and Truth. FULL manifestation of the Son of God has much more far reaching impact than simply words and wisdom of men. And my speech and my preaching were NOT with persuasive words of HUMAN WISDOM, BUT in DEMONSTRATION of the SPIRIT and of POWER, that your FAITH should not be IN the wisdom of men but in the POWER OF GOD. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5) Believers are endued with the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8) to live like Jesus and do what He does (Jn. 14:12-13). Let us not reduce or minimize what Christ suffered to bring. Lets instead be obedient and MANIFEST Him to the World! He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. (John 14:21) ... If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. (John 14:23)
