Miriam gave me permission (THANK YOU!) to post this: People in Washington Heights DO have an alternative when theyre stepping into the voting booth November 4: to write-in a vote for Rita McKee, rather than selecting the Democratic Partys official candidate, Charlie Rangel, whos going for his 23rd term, unopposed (except for me). Since Im running whats probably the ONLY money-free political campaign in America since... hmmm, Davy Crockett? ;-) ... I really appreciate the exposure. Feel free to post, email, print/put up, and share this piece with anyone and everyone in our District - from bodega owner to barber to mechanic... your childrens teachers... your pharmacist. Since my campaign has no flyers, mailers, robocallers, door-to-door campaigners, signs, banners, stickers, buttons, t-shirts, or any of the other stuff that political candidates usually have, this is entirely a grassroots campaign. And NO MONEY means NO MONEY! :-) Democracy is a participatory exercise, and voting is THE most fundamental right we have as American citizens; be sure YOUR voice is among those who stand UP, speak OUT, and REPRESENT.
