Missed a two foot brownie on the way home from work yesterday. Stopped at the Conant boat ramp for a couple casts along the bank by the raft takeout. Even left the truck running. On the second cast with my mouse a dark torpedo shot out from under the bank and WHAMO! I set and it went tight, but it only held for a millisecond. A few more casts, and I still left with a big ol grin. Sometimes the misses are just as fun, though bitter sweet. Still honing this mouse pattern. It has produced quite well so far. It shall henceforth be known as Artimus Maximus Cibberillus the VI or the Arti-mouse for short, because of its menacing articulation.
