More Canine Fun: I love dogs. I didnt always, because Im still deathly allergic, but learning how they work and how they interact helped keep me breathing properly. I also understand why businesses have very clear signs declaring: NO DOGS ALLOWED. The problem is people taking advantage of places that try and be cool, allowing the occasional well-behaved pooch. It happens every time: Suddenly it becomes a dog spot, like free doggy daycare with beverages and food served to the entitled owners. Dogs are running amok, and the dogless patrons are told to keep doors & gates closed, and pathways clear--for dogs. Any criticism of dogs annoying others is met with mob-attitude of the owners. The dogs pee, crap, spill water and knock things over, and the owners happily ignore the dogs, messes and chaos. If you are a responsible dog owner with manners, with a good dog, bless your heart. If you have an ill-mannered, tag-along pet that only highlights what a jackass human you are, in public or private, Im going to call you on it. Stop being rude, folks. It aint that tough. I promise.
