More foreign stars continue to join the relief efforts for the victims of super typhoon “Yolanda” (international name Haiyan), the latest being Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. In a short clip posted by Oxfam on YouTube, Johansson asked her fans and followers to donate to the international development agency so it can help as many typhoon survivors as possible. Cyrus, the father of pop star Miley Cyrus, has also joined the “Help for the Philippines” telethon of KTLA 5 Morning News in the United States. In the same program, Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao was also shown making a “personal appeal” for the sake of those affected by the recent calamity in the Philippines. American pop-rock band Gin Blossoms recently announced that it will hold a fundraising concert in New York this week for “Yolanda” victims. Singer Mandy Moore and actors Mel Gibson and Sarah Jessica Parker, among many others, have also expressed their support for typhoon victims, asking their fans to do their share in relief efforts.
