>> More than 18000 candidates appeared in entrance examination for M Ed program (Distance Mode) conducted by Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), Kashmir University. > The DDE had set 358 centres for the examination at Kashmir University, Jammu University, Govt Degree Colleges of Srinagar city and some Hr Sec Schools. According to the officials of the varsity the academic exercise was coordinated by various wings of the university with accuracy, efficiency and higher degree of responsibility. > The test was monitored by the Interim Vice Chancellor, KU Prof. A. M. Shah who took personal interest and visited to the Directorate in order to make the test successful. Commenting on the conduct of the test, Prof AM Shah said: “We are trying our best to reach up to the expectations of the students of our state and our Directorate of Distance Education is one of the flagship centres playing key role in this endeavor by offering a range of quality programs in distance mode.” Director Distance Education Prof Shabir A Bhat expressed gratitude to all the principals of various colleges for extending support in the conduct of the test. > The Directorate of IT & SS, KU also played a key role for providing information to the candidates on mobile phones, besides keeping it available on KU website. Meanwhile, the answer keys of the question paper were instantly uploaded on the University. Officials at DDE KU said the result will be notified shortly
