Morning Prayer with the Bishop Word for the Day: Endurance Thought: Dont fear the wind of adversity, remember, a tide rises against the wind rather than with it. Scripture Reading: Romans 12 The race is given to the swift nor to the strong but to those who endure until the end. No matter what we went thru last year, we made it. Whether we ran, walked, crawled, pulled or drag ourselves and even if someone had to help carry us across, we made it across the finish line of 2014 and now were even that more ready with much more ability and strength to continue and last the next race in our lives, despite adverse conditions that may arise ahead to run the next marathon. Let us run this race with patience. Therefore since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses of Believers who have overcome the world, let us strip off and throw aside every unnecessary weight and that sin which so readily clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patience, steadily with persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1). Youve endured hardness as a good soldier (2 Timothy 2). Though they slayed us, tripped us up, yet we trusted in Him. Remember to not focus on what and why things happened negatively but how it made and developed us positively, for such a time as this. If nothing else change since the new year started the big picture of it all is that what should have taken us out of the race, the pain, suffering, hurts and injuries, we are still here. If we made it to this point surely we can make it again. Whatever comes your way, like a wave, rise against it and ride it out. A song comes to mind that says I know somehow, I know someway, were going to make it. No matter what the test, whatever comes our way, were going to make it. With Jesus on our side, things will work out fine Were gonna make it . Either way with God we win. Be Bless. youtu.be/NMnRzJVJ8Iw
