Mornings. Currently Im sitting with a Lee Enfield .303 rifle, my first ever rifle, which I find more than ideal for eastern cape bush hunting. Unfortunately it is not suitable for ranges further than 150m and therefore Id like to add to the family. I was considering .270 for longer range shots (like karoo environment), but now a friend mentioned I should rather go for .375, which can do small game on a 180gr bullet, and large game with 300gr bullet. Im looking for versatility that can cover a shot of say 250m on the odd day on a springbuck without ripping it to shreds. Your thoughts?
