Most Filipinos react before they think, which is why we have the kind of politicians we have right now. Most of us have a tendency to believe rumors and hearsay without checking first the facts and considering all angles. One good example is what happened to Ivan Mayrina. I am not a GMA fan. I prefer ABS more, but I do think calling him "sinungaling" and questioning why he is wearing a vest is out of line. The girl who started it all admitted that there were shots fired in their area. That being the case, do you think GMA, or any TV station for that matter, would allow their reporters to go near the "war-zone" without even a kevlar on? Even international reporters wear helmets and vests to make sure they are safe even if they are miles away from where the actual fighting is taking place. Why? Because you cannot tell a bullet to stay within a specific area only. Because you cannot tell an insurgent to be at one designated point only. Again, THINK before you BELIEVE...
