Most of my friends on Facebook know me as a musician. Heres a very nice quote from my other world... Im watching a PBS special about the large Hadron collider and one of the physicists being interviewed makes the following comment (regarding the cosmological constant)... ...In fact around 10 years ago, astronomers discovered a really remarkable fact. The universe is getting bigger and bigger at a faster and faster rate. But... this rate is a million billion billion billion billion billion billion times slower than what we actually predict. When you are off by a factor of a million billion billion billion billion billion billion, there is something very wrong with your understanding of basic physics. Hey... at least when were wrong, we admit it and try to fix it! Why cant politicians understand that?
