Motown The Musical - saw this last night with my wife, her brother and his family. It is a very good show with outstanding production numbers and tremendous singing and dancing. There are a few numbers that go on a little too long though. Outstanding performances by the players who portrayed Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson. Not to slight the other performers for their good work. Mamma Mia severalyears ago took already published music and strung the songs together into a book with a nice story; this show does it in a similar manner taking Motown hits to push the biography of Berry Gordy and Motown as told by Gordy in his memoir although sometimes it is a little dis-ingenious preachy but it is a show well worth seeing and to be enjoyed.
