Mount of Olives Update A few years ago, a friend gave, and shipped to us a large tent for meetings at the Mount of Olives. It worked great, and was a super blessing. Of course, tents have limitations, and ours suffered great damage in the wind storm. We have been able to use pieces of it (large sections of the canvas, a lot of the poles, etc.) for other purposes, so it is still with us in a way. Its destruction still left us with a complication. This past summer we made our eating area do double duty, holding the services around the tables. Obviously, that can work alright, but it is far from ideal. Since then, we have leveled out an area just below the eating area that can be dedicated to services. We have the basic framework up to cover it from the heat of the sun. We have groups from supporting churches who have offered to come help with construction projects. We need to pour the floor, put on the roof, and a few other details to make that space fully functional. What we need is some funds for the materials. There are other projects that we could use these groups for that would improve the camp as well. With at least $3000, we could justify calling on the help that has been offered. More would allow us to do... well, more, obviously. This ministry has proven itself to be a great blessing in the areas of evangelism, encouragement and leadership building.
