Movie Review: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. When I first saw the previews of this film last year for the theater I really thought I was going to hate this film... Turns out I was completely WRONG! Im not a big fan of Ben Stiller, and the premise of the story line seemed bizarre to me, so I never saw it in the theaters, but today I rented it at the local REDBOX and just finished watching it and it was AMAZING! Storyline: A day-dreamer escapes his anonymous life by disappearing into a world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action. When his job along with that of his co-worker are threatened, he takes action in the real world embarking on a global journey that turns into an adventure more extraordinary than anything he could have ever imagined. The direction by Stiller was Stellar! The mixture of and the blending of reality and dreams was spectacular. You can not look away from the screen for a second or you may miss some very important details that are part of the landscape, background or a secret message hidden in plain sight. The screenplay was really strong fused with pop culture references that blew me away. It has intelligent writing that doesnt get dumbed down for the mass audience. Great work Steve Conrad. Kristen Wig was a really good actress in this film. Normally she plays the dumb blond who acts silly or outrageous, but in this film she really shows that she can act and be very believable. Ben Stillers acting was also so much better than in previous films. Normally he plays himself in his characters with the same delivery and unique sense of humor but here his acting made you forget it was Ben Stiller and made you care about Walter Mitty. On a scale of one to ten where one is dont waste a second of your time and ten is run out and see this as soon as possible, I would rate The Secret Life of Walter Mitty as a 12. imdb/title/tt0359950/?ref_=nv_sr_1
