Moxie/Jack litter write up by Anne Foerster - In a couple of weeks I will be headed out to attend the Moxie/Jack LER. I really cant wait, because I have been waiting for this litter for a couple of years! Carla, who is raising Moxies pups, asked me to share my thoughts on this pairing. I thought I would post them here because she still has one or two pups available. First off, I have always been a big fan of Moxies sire, Blue. He was a gorgeous bi-color boy like his sire Timber, with a great expression. But the best thing about Blue was his wonderful friendly temperament. I met him a couple of times on New Zion tours at Homecoming and was really impressed. If we had been looking for a rehome boy I might have tried to talk Zak into it! Tina paired Snow with Blue because of the great size behind Snows lines. Those of you who have met Aprils boy Cutter or seen the photos of Tibor in the Netherlands know what big, beautiful dogs those lines are capable of throwing! Blue, though he had a perfect temperament, was a grandson of Artus, so he was not a huge male. By pairing Snow with Blue, Tina hoped to get size from the dams lines and Blues great temperament and movement. There is also a history of great hips behind both parents lines. Moxie is a wonderful blend of both parents. She has Blues confident, sweet, friendly temperament, and is a beautiful girl with great structure. But she could still use a bit more height… Enter Jack from River Pack, a goofy, fun-loving boy with an unflappable temperament! Nothing phases Jack, he takes it all in stride. He has filled out nicely and he has that Warba SIZE! Jack also is a Holly son, and the great thing about Holly is that she threw excellent health (well, and she was mom to other great dogs like our Leo, Ginger, MC, Barrett…the list goes on). So the Moxie/Jack litter has two great parents who compliment each other, both with friendly, people-loving temperaments. I really expect to see some pups who love life out of this one! SO...if anyone is in the market for a breed quality boy, it would be nice to have one stick around. Blue in particular is rare in our gene pool. And there is the potential for some great movers with excellent Shiloh type out of this match! If you are looking for a wonderful, friendly, outgoing pet…do consider these pups, but also please think about Moxie. She is spayed now, looking for her new forever home. Im sure that she is ready to go to a great home where she can hang out with her people and beg for treats all day! Thanks for reading, everyone! I am going to get some photos while I am out there and hope to include them in an LER feature I am planning for the winter SSDCA newsletter! And a few will probably find their way to the forums… Wink Thanks for reading! Anne F.
