Much like the Backstreet Boys 1999 hit, the boys were larger than life today and excelled, as usual, at the one thing that really matters in life: Downball. Daniel Hallowell was on fire early (pun intended due to his flaming red hair) but that flame was soon smothered by his biological brother, Mitch Soundcloud/DJSYNOSS Synott. The big sauce bottle didnt take kindly to Daniels shitty joke about a sin bin or something (stop attempting to be funny and play your role) and reacted in the only way he saw fit. Mitch proceeded to throw Daniel, firstly, on the ground and then through a nearby bush. Id personally just like to thank Syn for doing what weve all wanted to do for many years now. What a man. Jack Ryan was once again seeing double and wasnt having a bar of Downball today. Put it this way, the only shots that bloke has time for are the ones that burn your throat going down. Word on the street is that Sean Crawford once attempted going drink for drink with the great vessel and ended up getting his stomach pumped in an ambulance. Best on for the day was 100%, without a doubt, Matt The General Wilson. The Tim Duncan of DB once again proved that winning is not boring. And seriously, is there a better low shot in the game? Samuel Im a Flog Payne was absent from todays game. Many rumours started to swarm around the young cobs reason for absenteeism and it was brought to a conclusion that he is once again struggling with a sore vagina. An injury that has plagued the marquee player for some time now. Leaving us all to question, will he ever return? Will his game ever be the same? Will he ever live down his horrible form at Lily Browns? Probably not. From all of us here at BCPDBL, have a Downball filled long weekend and make sure you all get down to Woodend Football Ground this Saturday to watch the illustrious Ben Thompson running through the centre dealing fend offs and selling candy for the mighty Hawks.
