Multiplying Life Through Redeeming the Time There are many inequities in the world, but one thing we all have in common is the same amount of time each day. God has allotted twenty-four hours to each one of us. Perhaps, because we are products of our fast-paced society, we tend to think and act as though God has short changed us when it comes to time. It is not uncommon to hear comments like, “There just isnt enough time in a day to do everything I need to do.” “I just don’t know where the time goes.” “I’ll try to find time, but I’m hard pressed for time at the present.” In our day when many people meet themselves coming and going, most people feel pushed for time. The feeling is that there simply arent enough hours in a day. Life with all its demands is far too busy. (bible.org) But here in this beautiful twin island of Trinidad and Tobago we are blessed with balance. We work hard and we play hard as well. As we all may know it was on 1 August 1838 full freedom was granted to the slaves in Trinidad and Tobago, so on the 1st of August every year a holiday is given to commemorate the end of slavery of our people. So too, as a believer, when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we were also emancipated for slavery, we are no longer slaves to sin and death but freedom was granted to us through the blood of Jesus Christ.
