My Fathers Family ________________ My father was a professor of law, a bureaucrat and later a lawyer at Codinna Partners Intl (a multinational law office having head office in the US). He was a brilliant man during his academic life standing first in his law exams. My grandfather was a Sufi. He was a member of the British Army (East Bengal Regiment) fighting the Japanese in Burma during WW2. My granduncle, Chief Justice of Bangladesh, Mr Nurul Islam later became the Vice President of Bangladesh. My paternal uncle Dr Nurul Islam, MD. is a leading bariatric surgeon in the US (listed in the Who is Who) who is related to ex-President Zillur Rahmans family by dint of his marriage. Major Dalim - my second cousin, overthrew the despot who ruled the nation under BKSAL - Sheikh Mujib. My uncle Aminul Islam was the Principal of Dhaka University Fine Arts Institute and was the architect of the famous Shapla Chottor in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
