My Granny never stops amazing me! Tonight when I went to pick up the cookies she baked for me she was doing what looked to be like crocheting plastic bags! I said Granny what in the world are you doing!? She explained that she was crocheting these plastic bags together for homeless people to sleep on. They had to be so long and 4 ft wide. She had all these old grocery sacks tied together and she was going to town. She said anything is better than sleeping on the ground even if its only a couple inches of padding. She is truly an amazing woman! She taught me to read by reading the bible and taught me to write in cursive (bc thats the only way she knows how) all before I went to kindergarten. She is such an inspiration. But it breaks my heart to go visit her bc she tells me every day that she is ready to see her husband and my daddy again. If anyone is going to heaven I know my Granny Evans is! God love her no matter how tired she might be, she is ALWAYS willing to help those that are less fortunate. Her previous adventure was making pillow case dresses for little babies in Africa. There will never be another like her, she is so so special! Shes had everything taken from her. Her Momma died when she was 8 yrs old which left her to raise her brothers and take care of the house. Her husband died when she was very young and even though it seems like God just keeps taking from her, she has never ever asked why or lost faith. I admire her so much!
