My MAD AS A HORNET VIDEO......Some time ago, I told a story about my experience with mad hornets at an abandoned bridge over on hwy 50 in Illinois. I found a piece of video that I had forgotten that I took with my camera of them attacking my van. lol I really AM grateful that I had presence of mind enough to be aware enough NOT to get out of the van as soon as I stopped, to go get on that bridge to take some pics, as I would usually. I really do think I could have been stung to death if Id gotten out of the van that day. You can hear me muttering to myself in this clip..lol. I was just so awestruck and amazed at their continued savage attack upon my huge van. At this point, I had backed away from the bridge..about 30 feet on the old broken pavement of the old highway, and had turned up to get up on the present highway..and there were still as many as before following me..and even when I drove out onto the road..I was followed..until I accelerated to a fast enough pace that they left me alone..or I was far enough away from their nest that they deemed I was no longer a threat. The way they kept actually hitting my van and windows with their bodies..hard enough that I could hear the little thuds, I cant imagine what they all would have done with an unprotected human. Its really a scary memory..and Im glad I found the video...so it wouldnt have remained a fish..er..hornet story. ;)
