My blessing today was that Toms suitcase finally made it to our house. Tom flew home from Florida on Saturday but when he got to San Francisco his flight to Eugene was cancelled due to fog so he had to spend the night there. Then Sunday morning he flew to Portland because the earliest flight he could get to Eugene was 9:20 pm on Sunday. When I picked Tom up at the Portland airport his first words were it is what it is(his typical response to any situation). Then his bag was not there so he filled out a missing luggage claim and they told him his bag would be sent to Eugene. Well, his bag was sent to Portland and finally arrived there at 5:20 pm Monday night. Then instead of having someone deliver it from Portland they sent it to Eugene and it was finally delivered to our home at 4:30 pm today. I am just thankful that we have his bag and clothes because that is the bag he is taking when we fly to Belgium for Christmas and most of the clothes in his bag are ones I need to pack for the trip. I never thought that getting a suitcase back would be a blessing but if you know me then you know that I was stressing about whether or not we would get the bag back in time.
