My dad had emergency surgery. Here is the brief account of what I heard from my step mother Dorothy. Charles (dad) and Dorothy were at a Chinese restaurant (in Melbourne, Florida) when he started feeling ill. After a bit of time of not knowing how serious it was, an ambulance was called. At the hospital they decided that surgery was necessary. He has had a large aneurysm on the main artery from his heart for several years. (An aneurism is like a small ballooning off from the artery. If it tears open there is almost no hope of survival.) The surgery was successful and dad called Dorothy to say that he was doing OK. He turned 90 last August and Dorothy is 88. Give thanks and pray for recovery. More later. ------- Today, I talked to dad and he said, I am in the lucky 40% who make it through this kind of surgery. He is tired but feeling alright.
