My day of incredible emotions yesterday. Very early to Mayo for cancer checkup tests. Always fearful of those days. What if it came back. Nervous about going in the cat scan tube. Kind of closed in feeling. Ok, got through that. Finished blood work, chest x-Ray, now go home for a couple of hours to wait to see oncologist. Worry the whole time. Meet with her at 2:15. Everything is fine!! No sign of cancer!! All blood work in normal ranges. Thank you God, thank you God. Go home on cloud nine. Dont want to cook. Order a pizza. Phone rings after supper. Someone just a few blocks away has found a gray cat. Could it be our missing one? OMG, OMG...Darrell and I were there in about two minutes. Cat is under a car in the driveway. Can see it is gray with white paws. Call out Sassy, Sassy. Cat comes out from car. It is a gray Persian with long hair and the kind of flat face they have. Not my cat. I lost it and started bawling right there. Thanked the people anyway. Came home and went to bed at 9:00. Such a day of highs and lows. A roller coaster day. But so thankful for the good news from Mayo. Every day is a gift. Thank God for all of them.
