My friend Kim posed a question related to a UN report on the scientific data behind global warming, that global surface temperatures have not increased for the past 15 years, but scientists who believe climate change due to man is occurring say it has merely paused because of several factors and will soon resume. This has inspired me to pose to my friends: What kills me is that global warming is merely a side effect of the real problem: human overpopulation. Name a horrible crisis - water shortage, killing elephants - 9 times out of 10 you can trace it back to human beings over populating, and the planet cant handle this many large animals. I challenge anyone to read this article and not admit we have to change. And please note: Businessweek is not exactly a bastion of liberalism! And a shout out to Uncle George T. Devine ASU professor whos made me realize Im not alone in my madness...
