My gorgeous little nephew, Ralphie, was born with cystic fibrosis - a genetically acquired, life-shortening chronic illness that affects the lungs, digestive system and reproductive system. People with CF develop an abnormal amount of excessively thick and sticky mucus within the lungs, airways and digestive system. Today almost 50% of people with CF will require lung transplant. The average life expectancy is 38 years of age, there currently no cure for this chronic illness. From birth people with CF undergo constant medical treatments and physical therapy. To learn more about CF, check out the clip. To help find a cure, please donate to cysticfibrosis.org.au/cfa/cfa-donation
