My heart goes out to the family, friends, and coworkers of the fallen officers in Brooklyn, New York. Reminds of what happened here in the Pacific Northwest just 5 years ago in 2009 around this time of the year. Hate-mongering of any kind is a sad state of mind and spirit. Two of my best friends ever are police officers, I have known them from before they went into law enforcement and I love them. Two of the most caring, funniest friends, who are also great husbands and fathers. I am proud to call them brothers and friends. I would be devastated if either of them were to fall due to some evil spirited and misguided anti-police hate. Painting any profession with the broad stroke of being racist is in itself a fascist mindset. There are those who do evil in every spectrum of mankind, thankfully there is also those who serve and love their neighbor within every tradition, nation, tongue, and tribe. Love one another, serve one another with love by your actions is the perfect law of the Spirit.
