My letter to Westnet re my long delayed NBN connection, in reply to the email they sent me on April 9th. Dear Westnet, Following this email, the conduit was swiftly replaced on the 8th April. I heard no more, so rang Westnet on 23rd April, and I was told the job had been closed in error, and that it would be rebooked. Still not hearing anything, I rang again on 13th May, and I was told the job was booked for a date in early June, but that I could have an earlier slot if I wished. The operator offered me a booking on May 20th, between 1pm and 5pm. I was told I would need to be at home during that time. Although I had not received any contact from the NBN team, I waited at home all yesterday afternoon. I rang Westnet around 3pm and was told to wait. No-one arrived. As it had rained heavily in the morning I did not get out all day, due to the non existent booking. There seems to be very poor communication between Westnet and the NBN team. NO-ONE is giving me ANY information at all, despite the promise of regular updates in the attached email. I am not a happy customer. I will not wait at home again unless I get some form of confirmation that the NBN team is actually coming.
