My most current girlfriend is 17-months-old and has a little - TopicsExpress

My most current girlfriend is 17-months-old and has a little trouble pronouncing her big sister, 3-year-old Aubrey’s, name, which she pronounces as Aubee. I don’t let it bother me. Yesterday, Grandma took the pair to the Columbus Zoo for another 5 hour romp. They have a family pass so go quite often. When they returned they were, of course, asleep. But Nora is most comfortable sleeping in my lap and so she woke after only a few minutes in the bedroom and came bounding out looking for me and my rather roomy lap. Which she found in the usual place, sprawled out on a recliner. And we napped. Just as the day before when Grandma had them at the Hilltop Pool for 5 hours, they returned exhausted. I’m glad to be of service. Today, Grandma will venture out to Smith’s Farm. I will be called to duty around 3:00 p.m. My lap and I are there to oblige. Grandma, at 60-years-young, has more energy than any two 30-year-old women in the United States and China. I don’t know how she does it. But it makes me happy. I highly recommend to all young men that they find a women in their life that has twice their energy level. Works out pretty darn well. When Nora seeks out my company, I often think about how her big sister used to do the same thing, only now, she doesn’t need my lap to rest comfortably. I don’t remember if it was at 19-months or 25-months, but at some point Aubee stopped utilizing my lap for napping. Nora will someday decide that Grandma’s big bed is more comfortable than my lap. It will be a sad day. But, I’m still available for book readings for all age groups, and my lap is well worn for that activity as lately we have been reader Mercer Myers and all those “Nightmare in my closet” or “There’s something in the attic” books. It’s nice to be needed. I highly recommend it.
