My questions for the coming DUN Sarawak sitting from 10-19-2014 1) To ask the Minister for Public Utilities (written) Sibu Airport A) Is it true that Sibu Airport has never obtained the FIRE CERTIFICATE as required under the FIRE SERVICE ACT 1988? If it is not true,when has it obtained the FIRE CERTIFICATE ？Please state the serial number of the said certificate. B) Is it true that the pressurised water hydrants in Sibu Airport cannot function at all as there simply isn’t water supply to the fire hydrants? C) What are the risks involved when the water hydrants do not work in such an important and highly hazardous public place like an airport? 2) To ask the Minister for Housing (oral) A) What plans do your ministry have to help solve the high cost of housing in the state? B) How do you ensure that the GST to be implemented in 2015 will not burden the potential homeowners further? 3) To ask the Minister for Local Government and Community Development (oral) How have the bickering between your UPP and the SUPP affect the performance of all the city and local councils? 4) To ask the Chief Minister (written) A) SUPP has claimed that the present Chair and deputy Chair of the Sibu Municipal Council were allocated to the SUPP and they should resign from the posts since both of them have joined the UPP. What is your stand on this issue? B) Please state whether its true that the posts in the state cabinet are assigned to each political parties within Barisan Nasional? If yes, then would you resuffle the cabinet soon? 5) To ask the Chief Minister (Oral) What plans do you have to solve the transportation needs of the people in view of the higher fuels prices and higher cost of living triggered by the recent hike of fuels prices and the impending GST? 6) To ask the Minister of Welfare,Women and Family Development (written) A) With the hike of the fuels prices and the impending GST, what would your ministry do to help those who are currently living on welfare from your ministry? B) As pointed out by your good self, Sarawak is the state with the highest level of poverty, how do you proposed to solve this problem apart from just giving out welfare cheques to them? 7) To ask the Chief Minister (written) A) How do you ensure that Sarawak be an equal partner in the Federation of Malaysia? B) How can you assure Sarawakians that UMNO will not enter into Sarawak when its at the fancy of UMNO whether and when to set up its branches in Sarawak? C) Are there UMNO branches in Sarawak? If yes, where and how many are there altogether? 8) To ask the Minister for Infrastructure Development and Communications (written) Sarawak infrastructure development and communications have been lagging behind the peninsular Malaysia and when can Sarawakians enjoy the same level of developments as our counterparts in peninsular Malaysia? 9) To ask the Chief Minister (written) Malay Bible issue A) What is the state government’s stand on Nancy Shukri’s statement “ A-G Chambers decision not to charge Ibrahim as his threat was in line with Article 11(4) of the Federal Constitution.” B) How do you, as the Chairman of the state BN, ensure that our Sarawak ministers in the federal cabinet toe the line of the state government instead of singing the tune of UMNO? 10) To ask the minister for Land Development (written) A) What have your ministry achieved in the past 5 years in terms of land development in Sarawak? B) How much land, in terms of percentage of the total land area in the state, has been put to use either for agriculture, industrial, commercial and residential purposes? C) Please state the number of all the individual NCR land titles issued out in the past 5 years in each division of Sarawak. D) What has been done to make sure that the NCR land in Sarawak are properly surveyed and alienated to NCR claimants?
