My son was looking over some of the images we shot this afternoon. He was seated at our dining table with the lights off. I noticed that the light coming off his laptop screen, though very faint, was quite interesting. So I thought; hmmmmm! how can I recreate that image in my camera. Heres what I got from my lighting set up: - Main light coming from a Nikon SB910 bounced off the laptop screen at 1/8 power, flash head zoomed-out to 14mm. It is positioned directly in front of and facing the screen. - Separation light coming from a Nikon SB900, placed directly behind him on a light stand about 6 feet away, flash head zoomed-in to 105mm - Both flash were triggered wirelessly using a Nikon SB900 set to Master. Its flash output was turned off. So it has no influence on the lighting of the subject. Its function is strictly to trigger the 2 speedlights.
