NAZIS IN CONGRESS AT IT AGAIN........355 members, with clear majorities in both parties, voted against the amendment. The amendment, by Congressman Alan Grayson (D-Florida), would have barred the transfer of armored vehicles, aircraft, and other military equipment to police departments from the military. How many Congressmen voted for the Grayson Amendment? Only 62 members of Congress, mostly a coalition of far-left progressive Democrats and libertarian-leaning Republicans, voted for it. 355 members, with clear majorities in both parties, voted against the amendment. Police militarization is an issue that’s come to the forefront of American political discussion since the shooting of Michael Brown and the subsequent disturbances over the past week. Congressman Hank Johnson (D-Georgia) says that he will author a bill to curb police militarization in a bill that will be similiar to the Grayson Amendment when Congress returns to session next month. However, given the fact that the Grayson Amendment was defeated by such a wide margin, the odds of the bill passing are likely slim. ijreview/2014/08/168296-congress-voted-ending-police-militarization-june-guess-many-voted-continue/?utm_source=dailynewsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=%7BCAMPAIGN_ID
