[NEWS] Woollim Entertainment Merges with SM C&C to Become Woollim Label Turning a new page, SM Entertainment announced that Woollim Entertainment has officially merged with its subsidiary company, SM C&C. On August 9, SM Entertainment stated through a press release that SM C&C and Woolim Entertainment, which houses Infinite, Nell, Tasty, and more, have merged together. Woollim Entertainment will now stand as the independent Woollim Label, marking the beginning of SM label business, similar to those belonging to Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and more. The recent merge will not only bring new colors to Woollim label, but create a synergy effect between the different groups involved, such as SM Entertainment, SM C&C, and other global affiliates. The merger will also improve sales and profits of SM Group as well as global recognition with Woollim Entertainment’s current artists as SM Entertainment takes charge in the international distribution of the music and other businesses while SM C&C will be in charge of the functions of the labels.
