NIGERIA LABOUR CONGRESS HONOURS WESCO CEO, OTUNBA OSINUBI The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC Ijebu Ode branch, Ogun state honoured Otunba (Barr.) Moses Adewale Osinubi a.k.a Otunba Wesco. The award of honour was in recognition of his contributions to the employment generations in the country as an employer of labour thereby helping in alleviating poverty in the Community and Nigeria in general. Otunba Wesco is the Chairman/CEO Wesco Pools and Lottery Ltd., with branches in 13 states in Nigeria and about 5000 workers working in all the branches of the company. The NLC, Ijebu Ode branch organized a day symposia and award ceremony to mark this year 2014 world workers day. The event which was held on Fri, 2nd May, 2014 at Itoro Hall, Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat, with a lecture titled: Strengthening Institutional Capacity for Employer-Labour Relations in a Developing Economy. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Abiodun Abiodun - College of Health Tech., Ilese Ijebu. At the presentation of the award, the chairman, NLC Ogun state, Comrade Akeem Ambali applauded Otunba Wesco for his laudable contributions to the employment generations and admirable welfare packages for his workers. Present at the occasion were the chairman, NLC Ogun state, Comrade Akeem Ambali; Executive Chairman, Ijebu Ode L.G.A, Hon. Daddah Rasak Oluwakemi; and many other dignitaries. Also present at the occasion were the representatives of the union bodies under the NLC which includes; NUT, MHWUN, NULGE, SEWUN, NUCSSAS, N.U.R.T.W, NANNM, N.U.P etc. On 20th of April this year, a youth group in Ijebu Ode, Obanta Youth Movement had honoured Otunba Wesco with an award of excellence for his philanthropic gestures and contributions to the economy development of Ijebuland. Otunba Wesco is presently aspiring to represent Ijebu Central Federal Constituency at the House of Representative, Abuja in the next 2015 general elections.
