NIGERIAN DILEMMA: POSTPONEMENT OR EXTENSION OF 2015 ELECTION and THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY Under normal circumstances as the most blessed amongst the mammals, every individual man/woman, mad or insane in which case, supposed to be smartly rational, i.e the ability to show that he/she is mentally alert, calculative and resourceful...Moreover, no one should assumed that he/ she is more starter than others, until or unless his level of reasoning supersedes and prevail more than 75% level of confidence limit, which is accepted and agreed by all concern in that case. And assumed as the only solution or way forward or whatever reason, suggestion or decision to be taken or taken etc. Of course, postponement of the elections of 14 February 2015, will not be bad for Nigeria, if it is the only way that will prosper its entity, so be it. The issue of PVC is a very serious case that might course pandemonium or chaos - that is, an extreme confusion and disorder in the whole country. Because, so many people have not yet collected or given their PVC at the prescribed period - this may be attributed to so many factors - time constrain for both the INEC and the electorates, insecurity, late production and distribution etc. Moreover, people who are in possession of their Temporary Voters Card (TVC) will not be allowed to vote due to the present PVC according to INEC. So you can imagine someone who attained the status (eligible) and is not in possession of PVC and have his/her TVC during the Election Day that he/she is suppose to vote and was disenfranchise? At the moment suspicion and allegation are inevitable. But since we still have a little time which contradicts the INEC laws to conduct elections, 3 months before the expiration of the tenure of office. Even if it is not, how certain is the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) that INEC will be able to distributes the PVC had it been that, there is an extension in the INEC Election Time table? With all these troubling questions, if still there is time, no matter how little, then we have to agree with certain unforeseen contingencies and accept in good faith. Therefore, for the elections to be conducted as scheduled by INEC, people should be given the right to either use TVC or PVC which ever one is in their possession at the moment, pending on whenever, they collect their PVC. Since, it is the same informations therein TVC in PVC of all the eligible voters who dully registered. And the ability of INEC not allow any loophole that may leads to its abuse for election sharp practices. It is sad that Nigeria has battled insurgency for several years since 2009, with little help from the international community. Though, to me it is not bad to seek for help at any material time, but at the same time. Nigeria have the capabilities to tackle these scourge without any international communitys venturing, had it been that Nigerian Government is truly committed (thinking) with genuine intentions to crackdown all antagonist to these fight. You can see the differences between the reactions to the killings in France and that of Nigeria. Soldiers were killed and sentenced by Military Court Marshall - condemn, civilians are everyday killed, injured and displaced with many people kidnapped amongst are the over 200 Chibok girls and it is growing, but they ( international community) shows a little or no any commitment to bringing it to an end, rather they engaged only acts cunningly. If you heard of an attack in Kano today tomorrow is Jos, next tomorrow may be Maiduguri or Niger and next week Bauchi or Adamawa, haba! With my little knowledge of Hollywood movies, looking at all these scenario, I can vividly recollect that, these spate of attacks are stage managed by very few individual at higher level backed by some unidentified elements. Just imagine the use of a 10 years old girl in Maiduguri Monday market attack and another 13 years old in Kantin Kwari market in Kano.....Can we insinuate? Nigeria should be left alone for peace and prosperity to reign.
