NOW IS THE TIME FOR THE PEOPLE OF IKPOBA OKHA TO STAND AND DEMAND OUR RIGHT TO PROVIDE THE BOSS OF EDOSOGPADEC... Evil strive when good people decided to pay a lackadaisical attitude to the establishment of EVIL STRUCTURE BY EVIL MEN AND WOMEN in any society and as the saying goes, an injustice any where, is a threat to justice every where... This is a clarion call to all lover of justice around the world to intervene and liberate the plight of the people who live and dine in ikpoba okha local government area of Edo State, Nigeria.. All is not well to us, even though the media tries to project us as a very happy people, I must confess that we are dying in silence and we have no option than to speak out... Does it mean that there are no competent aficionados in leadership who can lead from Ikpoba Okha local government? Must we be deprived of our right to self determination all the time? As I speak now, Ikpoba Okha local Government gave the Comrade Governor the largest vote in the last concluded State governorship election and as i write now, the local government has nothing to gain from the overwhelming support we gave to the governor during the past election.. There is no single development legitimately established and entrenched in Ikpoba Okha local government by the Comrade Governor led administration in the State.. How long are we going to live in a purported injustice and relegation that is been orchestrated against Us by those who we willingly voted into power? We are one of the major Oil producing communities in the state, as we speak now, there is nothing to show for our huge resources potential, in term of improved qualities of life, living standard of people, no functional public infrastructure like good health facilities etc.. Now that the tenure of Barrister Uwadia, the outgoing boss of Edosopadec who has succeeded in pushing us into the back water of Economic cum political decadence during his tenure as the boss of the commission is getting to an end, we the people of Ikpoba Okha will not seat by and watch our chances to privide the next boss of the commission been swept into oblivion this time.. We will protest, resist and ensure that we fight to enthroned our own representation with a good leader who has the credence, leadership capacity and adequate cum absolute political will to deliver the basic expediency of development across the oil producing communities in the State and better the lives of the people of Edo State in generality.. Amongst the criteria to be used to select the representation will include the ability to depict Visible structure to empower and train the youth in vocational training programs must be established during pre appointment period of the would be candidate that will take over the office.. Development of basic health infrastructure and construction of monumental road project of great civic design, scholarship programs for youth from the oil producing communities in the states and adequate employment generation mechanisms that will be proportionate with the overall revenue that is accruing to the commission annually must be visible.. The expected task from the would be candidate is much and we are watching with kin interest and undivided attention because our people has long suffered from years of government neglect which is still going on till date... As the President General of Edo Youth for Peace and Development (EYPD), a civil society organization and an umbrella body of all Edo Youths with the patriotic minds, focus and willingness to play a role in the development of our dear State and the Country at large, we will no longer allow the principle of business as usual, corruption and political negligence which have crippled the sociopolitical cum economic life of our people that have eventually led to voter apathy and lack of trust in governance in our state and country in general to prevails, as an injury to one of us, is an injury to all.. The collective destiny of Ikpoba Okha and all other Oil producing community must be protected and safeguarded with our collective effort and commitment until it is uhuru for the Talakawas, social contract justice must prevails and we declare CABOODLE REGERAMENTAL against any person or group of persons that has the intention to truncate the right of the people for his personal benefit in anticipation thanks....
