NWS Paducah is reporting a phone outage in Kentucky that has affected the weather radio network and the Evansville and Fort Campbell radar sites. Weather radios for the NWS Paducah Warning Area WILL NOT go off in the event of severe weather for counties in Illinois or Indiana. NWS is working on the problem but do not know when it will be fixed. There is a very slight risk for severe weather today. Widely scattered showers are expected to develop and move west across the area. Even though these will be isolated storms whatever does pop up could be quite strong. Wind and hail are the main concern. Monitor this page for any Watch or Warning that may be issued later today. JM
