National Biodiesel Board spokesman Ben Evans says EPA is not likely to issue its final 2014 Renewable Fuel Standard volume requirements this week as it had planned. Evans says the EPA still has not sent the final proposal back to the Office of Management and Budget for final review. After the final rule is sent to OMB, Evans says it usually takes at least another 30 days. By statute, EPA is required to provide a final volume requirement by November 30 of the preceding year. Last year’s final mandate was eight months late.
