Never a dull moment here at the Kangaroo Orphanage in Coober Pedy. We quite often put a sign on the gallery door (Back at .....) when we need to feed the little joeys or have to do something out the back where we cant hear the bell. We have a wonderful community here and one of our lovely local ladies dropped off a pet carry bag for us to use. Thank you so much Debby Clee and our most sincere condolences for your loss of your precious Oscar. As the sign was on the door she left the bag on the doorstep and sent us a message on Facebook. Within 10 minutes Terry collected the bag and brought it inside. He then rang Debby firstly to thank her and secondly to find out what type of chick was in the bag. Debby had no knowledge of the chick at all. So, it appears that Debby has left the bag on the doorstep and then someone else has come along and left the chick in the bag. After calling our bird expert, sending photographs, asking for any information on the chick from the Coober Pedy community and whilst checking through our bird books it has been decided this is a Brown Falcon chick. We just never know what will come in to us next.
