New Liberian Movie[CHASING SHADOW]. Directed by Bryant Slah. Produce by Bryant Slah and Elizabeth Johnson. Hardin Whitnies play the role as Joe. liroviatv: What is chasing shadow? Hardin: chasing shadow is like chasing after something that is not there. for example a lot of the gentlemen in this film are promiscuous. we often find ourselves having so many women, when there’s one woman in our life that fill in that puzzle. liroviatv: tell us about your character. Hardin: Joe. the name of my character. he has a girlfriend Sarah who he cheats on. he is a mechanic with a devoted girlfriend name Sarah play by Mercy Gono. you can call him a player with numerous women in his life. to tap it off, unknown to Sarah Joe slept with someone very close to Sarah. He also has a woman in Africa that he was sending for to come live with him in the United Stated. There’s a twist and turns to this story that will leave you breath taken. liroviatv: why did Hardin choose to play this role as Joe? Hardin: I was Joe. it may not had been in the same formality but I want people to learn from this experience. i am not joe anymore. we all have our past but learning from it and departing from who you were help you understand you’ve grown. liroviatv: tell us about your co-stars? Hardin: we have so many talented group of people on this project. we have George Dayo Collin, Slyvanus Turay, Bishop Blay, Albert Capheart, myself, Mathew, Elizabeth Johnson who produce the film with Bryant. so many incredible casts. liroviatv: Are you living in the U.S? Hardin: yes. i will have to retune back to Ghana in July or August to do some project in Ghana and Nigeria. I look forward to return back to Liberia to start off my own production house next year. Liroviatv: why do you want to go back to Liberia instead of Ghana that actually introduced you to the world? Hardin: Liberia is my home. i owe it to my people and to pave the way to the incoming actors. i Hardin Whitnies started my acting career in Liberia. I feel like i owe it to my country to give back and in which way if not to open this line of opportunity for others? liroviatv: there’s a rumors that you’re marry. Hardin: a Rumor? liroviatv: well according to social media you’re marry? Hardin: laugh. i am marry. liroviatv: how is like being marry? Hardin: its good. it add more to your responsibility. its good to be marry. it’s a great feeling when two people love each other. liroviatv: Artus Frank was in the US months ago. were you two working on something together. Hardin: ah no. i have not adventure into a lot of work here in the US. if there’s anything we are to work on in the future i will make sure to let you guys know. Liroviatv: is this project your first US project? hardin: nope. i have work on a previous project with actor Albert Capeheart directed by Steven Geeleby called Slow Poison. i’m sure it will be out soon. liroviatv: what is the difference between working on set in the US and Ghana or Liberia. Hardin: working on set with the casts and crew here in the US there’s a huge difference. here they only shoot during the weekend. there’s technical difficulties sometime. I know a lot has to do with work schedule and availability. were as to working on set in Africa. the casts and crew put their all into it. it doesn’t matter what they has on hands. they will leave everything to get the project done. they devote their entire time to getting the project finish. lirioviatv: have you ever work with the late Muna? Hardin: no. He was a brilliant actor that i would’ve love to work with but unfortunately we never cross path. liroviatv: how do you balance marriage and doing movies? Hardin: i have a understanding wife. she’s not into the entertainment like that. but i keep a constant communication with her at home. i communicate with her every time i get just to remind her that i’m still the man she marry. liroviatv: a liroviatv: when are you guys going to finish shooting Chasing Shadow? Hardin: i will be wrapping up my shoot by the 28 next week. i have another project in Houston soon. liroviatv: ive seen familiar face among the casts. Mercy?
