Next Safe Communities Task Force meeting: Join us this Friday, June 14th from 10am-noon at the Department of Fish & Wildlife (2108 Grand) to learn the latest about youth gangs and violence in our area, discover some of the amazing programs being offered for youth and families, and network with others who are concerned about the safety and livability of Clark County. The Clark County Parent Project, presented by ESD 112 and the Clark County Truancy Project provides proven strategies for parents raising today’s children and teens. This program is free for any Clark County parent (with children ages 12+ who are living at least part-time with the parent). The session starts in late August - just in time to give parents some tools for encouraging school attendance and academic success. Parents who have completed the program report significant improvement in family life, more positive interactions with their kids, and improved school attendance. See the attached flyer for more information or call 360.750.7500, ext. 290. In the news...
