Nigeria’s Markets Update as at January 17, 2014. EQUITIES MARKET The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) closed for the week on a positive note, as the All-Share Index and the Market Capitalisation gained 0.03 percent (3 basis points) to close at 41,751.55 points and N13.36 trillion, respectively. Similarly, the volume of deals rose by 33.09 percent and the value of deals surged by 11.74 percent, while the number of deals fell by 9.86 percent.
