Night porter and Waitress/waiter positions. Night porter - part time permanent position around 25-30 hours a week £6.40 per hour. Job description will be - Carrying out reception tasks during night hours (23.00 to 07.00), including receiving and registering national and foreign guests, preliminary calculation of bills, accompanying guests to their rooms, giving information, services letting guests in after closing time, operating telephone switchboard, receiving questions/complaints etc. from guests, checking guests out, making out bills and taking payment. Passing on telephone messages/special situations via memos to internal staff on the day shift. Serving, as requested, soft drinks and making/serving coffee, tea and simple dishes (e.g. rolls) during the night hours. If necessary, preparing and serving breakfast. Supervising general security and guarding the land and buildings by making rounds. Waitress/waiter - part time permanent position around 20-25 hours a week £6.19 per hour. Job description - Lay up tables. Present menu to diners and describe dishes and give advice on selection of food. Take orders for food and beverages. Pass orders to kitchen staff. Watch diners for completion of courses and for any special requirements, and keeps table tidy during the meal. Clear table on completion of meal and relay table. May prepare and present the bill then accept payment, if requested by the management. Carry out cleaning duties within the reception and restaurant block. To maintain hygiene standards at all times and respect health & Safety Regulation of establishment.
