No measure of verbiage will take the pain of grieving families away or make historical and perpetual injustices cease. Our hearts and support are with the people of Ferguson who had one of their sons taken from them, whether a petty criminal or not- nonetheless a victim of circumstance created by a corrupt nation, by an agent of extortion/lackey of american greed and corruption. There were many holes in the investigation, theres no debate. What is also obvious is that the racist history of this country should not be ignored, but often is. Everyone wants to assume a cop would never lie and that this is a country of opportunity, and for some peoples experience that may be true. However, history reveals that for people of color the reality is quite the opposite. Between the media, police state, politicians and racially prejudiced employers, people of color have minimal opportunities. Its not lack of ambition, its lack of opportunity. Thoughts are with the people of Ferguson to get organized and appropriate damage, keeping it out of mom and pop shops and focus of the places/things/people that create the real problems. We are not our parents. We are not tradition. We are not amerika. With that, have a happy and safe thanksgiving, the ironic holiday of giving thanks adopted from a racist/barbaric people who helped mold the current corrupt structure of america through violence and slavery. Also think of the miserable and violent life of whatever animal products will be on the table. Thanks for what? Respect (all) life. -p
