Non-Controversial SOTU post: Upon seeing Scott Kelly in the audience in his flight suit, it suddenly struck me as odd (perhaps just interesting) that NASA lacks a dress uniform. As a civilian agency, theres no reason for them to have one, and in fact no justification -- but it presents an interesting conundrum in situations like this. A flight suit is very under dressed for a SOTU or any other formal event, and yet astronauts lack any sort of formal attire that recognizes them as such. Has there ever been a Class A uniform for civilian astronauts? I suppose military astronauts just continue to dress in their respective branchs uniform.
