North American Development Bank and Bancomext signed an MOU yesterday, agreeing to collaborate on projects in Mexico and to share best practices. Mexicos nascent renewable energy market hold tremendous potential. Large utility-scale projects will require club/syndicate financing in order to meet the debt requirements of project sponsors. Given its experience in this sector, NADBank is well-poised to act as lead bank and arranger, working with other development banks as well as commercial banks to structure deals. We are already collaborating with Bancomext on two wind farms in Nuevo Leon that will deliver 252 megawatts of clean, renewable energy to private-sector industrial off-takers. More such deals to come. Very exciting times.
