Not at all fandom related but so so important.. Rest in peace Leelah Alcorn. Leelah Alcorn was a trans girl and artist (first three pics are hers) whos parents were very religious Christians, they didnt agree with Leelah being trans. When she committed suicide on the 29th of December her mother posted on Facebook about how her son had accidentally walked in front of a truck. She also forgot Leelah was seventeen, not sixteen. Her parents made her go to therapy, where she was told everything was her fault and that she needed to find God. It disgusts me that people are so unaccepting. If you are a parent, accept your child the way they are. Would you rather have an unhappy child being forced to be something theyre not, or would you rather have a happy child who is confident in who they are? Accept everyone, support your friends no matter what. Do all you can to help stop people feeling like Leelah did. ~Nicos left sock
