The prime minister the comments after taking part in the meeting of the National Police on its strategic planning at Comoro Police Academy yesterday. Xanana said he did not know yet which government members would be replaced, but everything would be discussed in a three-day meeting which would be held in the upcoming month. “We will have a meeting; it is about three days, so that each member can present both their weaknesses, strengths and what they have done and so forth. According to the recent statement of the president, the public civil servants are facilitated with cars and everything, but they work recklessly. PM Xanana said he would make efforts to cooperate with the Public Function Commission (KFP) to help improve the public civil servants’ professionalism. Speaking to journalists, State Secretary for Arts and Culture, Maria Isabel said the agreement was aimed at requesting the University of Charles Darwin to train the Ministry of Tourism staff members on tourism and hospitality. “We will send eight staff members to come here to learn about tourism and hospitality. If any of the staff members who would like to take their bachelor degree here, then we can make future plan for that,” she said.
