November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month. For those of you who dont know, for my 49th birthday I received a left upper lung lobectomy. Thanks to the care I received at the hands of Dr. Dan Cochran, Dr. Isbell at UVA, my family and bestest friend Sue Walker, I am considered a cancer survivor! It was caught early enough. You dont have to smoke to be affected! A simple chest X-ray caught the problem but a persistent doctor, and the grace of God saved my life!
