Now for the serious stuff. A few days after Thanksgiving, this little guy was diagnosed with Leukemia at just three years of age. He is from up the road in NWA, but his family is from the River Valley and, more importantly, they are part of the Calico County family. At Calico County, we saw many boys and girls come to eat with us and send their letters to Santa this year. AJ is just like them, but he wasnt able to go out in public this Christmas season. He didnt visit Santa at the mall. He had to look at Christmas lights from the window of his room at Childrens Hospital in Little Rock. Santa has had to revise his delivery schedule so that he can deliver AJs presents to a different place this year. Christmas will definitely be different this year for him and his family. Ironically, this wonderful time of year began when the worlds most special child was found in an unusual place.
